Having served 20+ years with the Grand Rapids Police Department, Brad Ditmar knows what it means to work hard. During those years, he worked a wide variety of roles including Road Patrol, Training Supervisor (Lead Firearms & Defensive Tactics Instructor), SWAT Team, Vice, Internal Affairs, and Patrol Supervisor. The traits that made him successful in law enforcement benefit his clients today.

During his successful law enforcement career, Brad obtained his builders license. He bought, renovated, and flipped houses on his days off, as a hobby. Brad’s interest in real estate continued to grow and he decided to become a licensed Realtor. Eventually, he retired from law enforcement and embarked on a second career, still serving the community but in a new way. Brad continues to serve as the Chair of the Grand Rapids Police Foundation.

Brad is honest, up-front, and straightforward with clients, and he’s loyal to the core. He won’t tell you what you want to hear: he’ll help you understand what you need to know. When Brad says he’ll go the extra mile for you, he means it. Brad has earned plenty of awards, like top selling new agent for Keller Williams East (2011) and “Rookie of the Year” for the State of Michigan and Northern Ohio region of Keller Williams Realty (2011), top 10 agent in sales volume at Keller Williams East since he started in 2010, and most recently #10 in gross team sales volume for the State of Michigan and Northern Ohio region of Keller Williams Realty. But it’s not the accolades that drive him. It’s his dedication to clients and desire to exceed their expectations.

As a licensed builder and Realtor®, Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), and ePRO® Certified Realtor® (real estate technology training), Brad advocates ceaselessly for his clients. Because of his extensive knowledge as a builder (and former home renovator and flipper), Brad provides attention to detail and meaningful explanations that give his clients a unique, extremely rare, perspective. His insight is incredibly advantageous, helping clients spot things they might otherwise miss. Brad appreciates that this isn’t just a monetary transaction—that buying and selling a home is a decision that affects people’s lives. He works hard to help clients make a discerning choice so that, years later, they’ll still be satisfied with their decision.
